You and I

9:54 AM Posted by Rut Arsari No comments
I am who I am
You are who you are

You were born in a land of gold
I was born on a pile of garbage

You are surrounded by lights
I am surrounded by darkness

For you life is a fairy tale
For me life is a tragedy

When love gives you a trophy
It only gives me catastrophe

I am who I am
You are who you are

But in the end we are just human beings
We will be buried under the ground

The Special Ones

11:24 AM Posted by Rut Arsari No comments
Everybody has scars.
Everybody feels pain.
Everybody is broken in different ways.
Everybody sees the devil.

But,
Only few can heal their own scars.
Only few can smile and erase their own pain.
Only few can keep going although they are broken.
Only few have the ability to fight the devil.

Farewell

2:12 PM Posted by Rut Arsari No comments
I missed so many things
Your tears
Your laugh
Your pain
Your warm words

I don't know where to start
My heart skips a beat
Can't let go of the thought of you

I will be home
But you will not be there
I will be home
But it will not be the same

Farewell to you
Let me treasure the moments I spent with you
Farewell to you
This small space in my heart is for you
Farewell to you
I will always smile when I remember you

We Are Who We Are

1:56 PM Posted by Rut Arsari No comments
We are broken!
We are bent!
We are broken by the reality.
We are bent by our own desire.
We are ugly!
We are wounded!
We are full of scars!
We are ruined!
We are human.

Part of Me is Evil

11:12 AM Posted by Rut Arsari No comments
Some people do not realize that part of them is evil.
Some people do not want to accept that part of them is evil.
Some people understand and accept that part of them is evil, but they do nothing about it.
Some people understand and accept that part of them is evil, and they work hard to fix it.

One-sided love is like fireworks,
Very pretty and colorful.
The light makes the dark sky turns bright too.
But what can you do?
Nothing.
One thing that you can do is staring at them.
You will never be able to touch them.
If you try to hold them in your hands,
You will get burned severely.

Jealousy

6:50 PM Posted by Rut Arsari No comments
I'm jealous of the sun and the moon.
Who never stop shining.

I'm jealous of the wind and storm,
Who are free to go wherever they want to go.

I'm jealous of the fire and water,
Who can show their hatred toward each other.

I'm jealous of the storm and hurricane,
Who are able to express their anger.

I'm jealous of the waves and ocean,
Who are always there for each other.

I'm jealous of the forest and the trees,
Who can't live without each other.

Color

2:59 PM Posted by Rut Arsari No comments
What if God didn't create colors?

What if human beings have the same color and physical appearance?

Are we going to value differences?
Are we going to think that differences are beautiful?

Do we fight because we are different?
Or do we fight because we think that we are better than the other?
Or do we fight because God created color?

People

10:43 AM Posted by Rut Arsari No comments
People cure many diseases and illness,
Yet they can't cure their broken heart.

People invent advanced technology,
Yet they don't know how to socialize.

People spend thousand of dollars for their pet,
Yet not for homeless people.

People say they know God,
Yet there are many injustices in this world.

People care for each other,
Yet war happens in many places.

People help each other,
Yet there is hunger all around the world.

People put on make up,
Yet they have ugly heart.

People want a beautiful crown,
Yet they don't want the salvation crown.

People believe in God,
Yet they do evil deeds.

Being Colonized by The Word "Freedom".

10:28 AM Posted by Rut Arsari No comments
I live in a free country, where people can't express themselves freely.
A country where people stare at you if you dress, talk, put on make up, and think differently.
A country where people think that you are weird if you look different.

I live in a free country, where people can't pour out their mind freely.
A country where people will not listen to the thought of the minority.
A country where you can see violence, but its people are too lazy to notice.

I live in a free country, where people aren't free to ask questions.
A country where people control others using the word "cultures, majority, religions, patriarchy, habits, and traditions".
A country where people are not supposed to ask about things, because they are like that since a long time ago.

I live in a free country...
A free country where people can't do or say what is inside their mind...

The Sower

10:48 AM Posted by Rut Arsari No comments
Who are your sowers?
Are they people who have money?
Are they big people with blue eyes and white skin?
Are they people who use to colonize other countries?
Are they people who have more power?

You Led Me

10:43 AM Posted by Rut Arsari No comments
I didn't look for you,
But you searched me.

I didn't know you,
But you had known me.

I didn't know where to go,
And you led me to the right way.

Rest

10:39 AM Posted by Rut Arsari No comments
Rest, love, rest
Close your eyes for a while

Rest, love, rest
This world is tiring

Rest, love, rest
This world's voice is deafening

Rest, love, rest
This world will continue spinning

Rest, love, rest
Stop thinking

Rest, love, rest
But keep praying

My Cries

10:34 AM Posted by Rut Arsari No comments
I cry,
Not because people can't hear me,
But because my people do not want to hear me.

I scream,
Not because they ignore me,
But because my people doesn't want to see me.

My heart is broken,
Not because I am mute,
But because my people ask me not to speak.

I find my peace,
Neither in me nor in others,
But in The Great Creator.
